The Marquis de Lafayette Chapter of the Georgia Society, Sons of the American Revolution consists of men and boys who can trace their ancestry to those who fought for or supported American independence. Based in Fayette County, Georgia, we also welcome members from Henry, Clayton, and Coweta counties.

We honor our ancestors through activities such as:

  • Supporting our country’s veterans
  • Sponsoring and participating in historical observances and parades
  • Providing  educational programs to local schools and organizations
  • Marking graves of Revolutionary War Patriots
  • Recognizing those who acted to save a life or other act of heroism.
  • Recognizing outstanding Junior ROTC cadets at area high schools.
  • Recognizing Eagle Scouts and
  • Recognizing organizations and individuals properly displaying the flag

Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except January and August) at the Fayetteville IHOP (705 Jeff Davis Dr. N) at 6:00 p.m. These gatherings include a business meeting, guest speaker, dinner, and socializing. Visitors and spouses are welcome—a great way to learn more about us!

If you are male and have an ancestor who supported American independence, contact our registrar to check your eligibility for membership.
