2018 NSSAR Annual Congress

The gavel sounded and the 128th NSSAR Congress adjourned with the announcement that the 129th NSSAR Congress would be held in Costa Mesa, CA on July 5 – ‎9, 2019. Brenda and David Jessel; GASSAR first Lady Nancy and President GASSAR Don Burdick, and in colonial attire Linda and Walt Reed enjoyed a reception hosted by the new President General Warren Alter of Arizona. Walt served in the NSSAR Color Guard.

Michael Tomme being Sworn in as President General of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution, accompanied as always by his lovely wife Cilla.  Additional pictures of him leading the national color guard in Boston at the congress in Boston to the memorial service.

 February 24 2018 Grave Marker Dedication.

Marquis de Lafayette SAR was the co-sponsor with the General Daniel Newnan NSDAR at the February 24, 2018 Grave Marker Dedication for three Revolution War Patriots buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Pictured: Jack Baker, Chaplain; Walt Reed, First Vice President, Don Bulloch, President; David Jessel, Past President, Genealogist; Jim Strickland, Graves Chair; Marc Pottiger, Boy Scout Chair; Bob Wylie, Past President; Vern Bassham; Mike Sanderson, Registrar; and Bill Lechner, Sergeant at Arms. It was a great ceremony and Ladies Auxiliary member Pat Strickland is to be commended for her diligence in making this happen with all the moving parts!
