2018 NSSAR Annual Congress
The gavel sounded and the 128th NSSAR Congress adjourned with the announcement that the 129th NSSAR Congress would be held in Costa Mesa, CA on July 5 – 9, 2019. Brenda and David Jessel; GASSAR first Lady Nancy and President GASSAR Don Burdick, and in colonial attire Linda and Walt Reed enjoyed a reception hosted by the new President General Warren Alter of Arizona. Walt served in the NSSAR Color Guard.
David Jessel and Walt Reed could not escape at the Texas reception for the 2018 NSSAR Annual Congress! “We always get our men!” both Brenda Jessel and Linda Reed agreed.
This Texas SAR ranch hand was recruiting for the chuck wagon duty when Brenda Jessel and Linda Reed happened by. The brisket was delicious!

May 2018 Meeting
Chapter President Don Bulloch presents Fayette County Deputy Sheriff Chad Wallace, CEO and Founder of Team BLUELINE with a Certificate of Appreciation. Team BLUELINE is non profit established to raise funds to assist the officers and their families injured or killed in the line of duty.

April Meeting
Robert Sapp, GASSAR State Registrar, was welcomed by Chapter President Don Bulloch at the April meeting of the Marquis de Lafayette Chapter GASSAR. Sapp is a past president of the Piedmont Chapter .
Bob and Audrey Wylie were also presented with a Flag and a Certificate of Appreciation for the “proper and patriotic display of the Flag of the United states of America” at their home in Newnan. Brenda Jessel made the presentations on behalf of the MDL Ladies Auxiliary and the General Daniel Newnan DAR Chapter.
Bob Wylie, Marquis de Lafayette SAR, was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the chapter for his presentation on the Southern Campaigns of the American Revolution. This timely presentation will be the featured events at the Georgia Patriots Day celebration, April 15-16, St. Simons Island, Georgia.
February 24 2018 Grave Marker Dedication.
Marquis de Lafayette SAR was the co-sponsor with the General Daniel Newnan NSDAR at the February 24, 2018 Grave Marker Dedication for three Revolution War Patriots buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.
