SUMMARY:Sieges of Augusta Commemeration
DESCRIPTION:Greetings to the members and leadership of the GASSAR. Please find attached the wreath registration form for the Sieges of Augusta Commemoration Program to be held at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Augusta on Saturday\, September 19th at 11:30 a.m. The registration form includes a schedule of the day’s events and a parking map.\n\nAside from the venue change\, there are a few other changes to note:\n1) We will not be catering food this year. There are quite a few restaurants in the downtown area and along I-20 and I-520 for food options.\n2) There will not be a full-scale battle reenactment. We do have access to the large parking lot to the right of the church to host a black powder salute. Please leave that parking lot open for cannon-crew parking and setup. Railroad Street\, Jasper County\, Shady Dale\, Georgia 31085\, on Saturday\, September 19\, 2026 at 11:00AM.  They will be honoring Revolutionary War Patriot Jacob Mercer\, who fought in the Battle of Kettle Creek.  Please see the attached Invitation for details. \nYou are encouraged to join them and to distribute the Invitation to other organizations as you see fit to those who may like to attend.  Georgia Society SAR Color Guard is requested to participate. \n  \nLunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the ceremony.  Special assistance and participation will be provided by the Henry Walton Chapter NSDAR.
